Account roles Admins and Members

SmartLess Mobile accounts are designed to keep things simple and secure. Whether you’re managing your own plan or handling plans for others on your subscription, here’s how account roles work — and when it’s time to tag in your Admin (or reach out to us for help). 

Account roles: Admins and Members 

Every SmartLess Mobile account has two types of roles: 

  • Admin: Full control. Admins can manage all plans on the account, update billing info, and give or remove Admin rights. 

  • Member: Limited control. Members can manage their own line but must ask an Admin to make changes to their plan or account. 

When someone creates a SmartLess Mobile account, they automatically become the Admin. 

Admins can make changes for Members, like adjusting plans or buying Add-ons. 

If you’re a Member and want to change your plan or add additional services, just ask your Admin — they can handle it for you the SmartLess Mobile App or in  MyAccount

How to check your role

You can see your role in the app or on the website. 

  • In the app: Tap More, then select Manage admins & assign lines

  • On the website: Log into MyAccount, then go to Add, manage & assign lines

On the Manage Users screen, you’ll see all current Members and Admins. 

How to manage Admin access 

Only an Admin can give or remove Admin rights. 

Give Admin access 

  1. Log into MyAccount
  2. Go to the Add, manage & assign lines screen:
    • App: Tap More >select  Add, manage & assign lines
    • MyAccount: Navigate to  Add, manage & assign lines
  3. Find the Member you want to upgrade. 
  4. Select Give Admin access
  5. That’s it! The Member now has Admin access. 

Remove Admin access 

  1. Log into MyAccount
  2. Go to the  Add, manage & assign lines screen:
    • App: Tap More > select Add, manage & assign lines
    • MyAccount: Navigate to Add, manage & assign lines
  3. Find the Admin you want to downgrade. 
  4. Select Remove Admin access
  5. They’re now a Member only.

Your Admin can help you with things like: 

  • Changing your plan or canceling a pending change 

  • Adding or removing Add-ons or Passes 

  • Switching your SIM card 

  • Resetting the account PIN
