Spam calls and texts

Block specific numbers (calls) 

Using  iPhone

1. Open the Phone app 

2. Tap Recents 

3. Tap the “i” in the circle that appears to the right of the number you want to block 

4. Tap Block Contact at the bottom of the page 

Using Android

1. Open the Phone app 

2. Select the number you want to block 

3. Tap Block & report spam 

Block specific numbers (messages) 

Using iPhone

1. Open Messages 

2. Tap the conversation originating from the number you want to block 

3. Tap the name or number at the top 

4. Tap Block Contact at the bottom of the page 

Using Android

1. Open Google Messages  

2. Tap the conversation from the number you want to block 

3. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner 

4. Select Block & report spam 

Reporting spam messages 

If you receive a suspicious text, copy the text and send it to 7726 (SPAM). 
Reporting spam helps improve detection systems and prevents future disruptions for all users. 

Tips to reduce spam 

Be cautious with personal information 

• Don’t share sensitive details over the phone unless you’re sure of the caller’s identity 

• Avoid responding to suspicious messages or opening links 

• If you’ve opened a suspicious link, consider changing passwords for personal accounts like banking or social media 

Stay up-to-date 

• Keep your phone’s software updated to get the latest security features and improvements 

Protect your device 

• Only download apps from authorized app stores 

• Avoid installing apps from unknown sources
