Caller ID, Call Fowarding, and Call Waiting

SmartLess Mobile gives you full control over your incoming calls. With Call Forwarding, Caller ID, and Call Waiting, you’ll know who’s calling, redirect calls when you can’t answer, and never miss an important conversation.

Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding lets you redirect your incoming calls to another number, such as voicemail or a different phone line.

How to set up Call Forwarding

Short code	What it does
**67*1[phone number]#	Turn on Call Forwarding when busy
##67#	Turn off Call Forwarding when busy
**61*1[phone number]#	Turn on Call Forwarding when unanswered
##61#	Turn off Call Forwarding when unanswered

##62#	Turn off Call Forwarding when unreachable
##004#	Reset all Call Forwarding settings to default

Example: To forward calls when busy to 310-555-1234, dial **67*13105551234#

Please note, SmartLess Mobile does not support Unconditional Call Forwarding (forwarding all calls to a single number).

Using iPhone

To set up Call Forwarding on an iPhone, refer to the table above.

Using Android

Use the table above, or refer to the Android-specific instructions below. Steps may vary by device and Android version:

Open the Phone app on your device

Tap the three dots in the top-right corner

Select Settings

Tap Calling accounts

Select your SmartLess Mobile number

Tap Call forwarding and choose:

Always forward– Not available on smartLess Mobile
When busy – Forward calls only when you’re on another call

When unanswered – Forward calls if you don’t pick up

When unreachable – Forward calls if your phone is off or out of service

Tips and limitations

You can only forward calls to 10-digit or 11-digit numbers

Forwarding to international numbers is not supported

Call Forwarding may not work while roaming—some roaming partner carriers may not support it

Voicemail reminder

If you’ve changed your Call Forwarding settings, unanswered or missed calls may no longer go to Voicemail automatically. To ensure these calls still reach your Voicemail, confirm that your forwarding destination is set to the SmartLess Mobile Voicemail deposit number:

1-805-637-7243 (1-805-MESSAGE)

If calls are forwarded to any other number, Voicemail will not pick up.

Caller ID

Caller ID lets you see the number calling you before answering. You can also control whether your number is shown on outgoing calls.

Caller ID short codes

Short code	What it does
*31#1[phone number]	Display number on outgoing call
#31#1[phone number]	Hide number on outgoing call
#31#	Display number on all outgoing calls
*31#	Hide number on all outgoing calls

Call Waiting

Call Waiting notifies you of an incoming call while you are already on another call, giving you the option to answer or ignore the new call. To activate or deactivate Call Waiting:

Call ring length

You can adjust how long your phone rings before forwarding to voicemail.

Short code	What it does
*6118056377243**seconds#	Change call ring delay time. Choose a 5, 10, 15, up to a 30-second delay.

Example: Dialing **61*318056377243**10# would give a 10-second delay before the call goes to Voicemail.
