Travel Pass options

Each Travel Pass gives you coverage in supported countries and is easy to activate in the SmartLess Mobile App or MyAccount. View Travel Pass options and roaming destinations.

Since Travel Passes are active immediately upon purchase, we recommend not adding your pass until you arrive at your destination.

Add a Travel Pass

  1. Open the SmartLess Mobile app or log into MyAccount

  1. Go to Dashboard and select Add-ons, and then Travel/Roaming

  2. Click on Purchase Add-ons and select the Travel Pass that best meets your needs

  1. Follow the steps to complete your purchase

Running out of data, but your trip’s still got a few more days to go? Purchasing multiple Travel Passes gives you the combined data allotment, and extends your pass to the latest date of the longest pass you’ve purchased.

Example:

Buy a 3-day pass with 2 GB on Jan 1, then a 7-day pass on Jan 3 → your 2 GB pass will now expire at the same time as your 7-day pass (Jan 9th)

Do you only need to make a few calls when traveling? Here’s a pro tip: use WiFi Calling when you’ve got access to a WiFi connection and save on roaming. With WiFi Calling, you’re able to call and text like you’re back home.

Voicemail when traveling

When you’re traveling, checking your Voicemail by pressing and holding 1 is still counted as call. Similarly, downloading Visual Voicemail messages uses data – typically a small amount – so you’ll likely want to purchase a Travel Pass if you need access to your Voicemail or Visual Voicemail.

Heads up – when traveling, if your phone is on and an incoming call goes to Voicemail, it’ll be counted as a one-minute call. If your phone is off and the call goes to Voicemail, it won’t be counted right away, and instead will be counted if/when you turn your phone back on.
