Managing your payments with SmartLess Mobile

Managing your payments with SmartLess Mobile is simple. You can manage everything directly in MyAccount or the SmartLess Mobile app. All accounts use Auto Renewal, so your bill is paid automatically each month and your service stays active without interruption. 

Your billing date is set when you activate your first plan and stays the same each month. The only time it changes is if your account becomes suspended and you make a manual payment—at that point, your new billing date becomes the day your payment is processed. 

Important: Only an Admin on the account can update the payment method in MyAccount or the SmartLess Mobile app. The SmartLess Mobile team can’t make changes to your payment information for you. 

What you’ll need 

  • WiFi or mobile data connection 

  • Your SmartLess Mobile MyAccount login 

  • A supported payment method 

  • A smartphone, tablet, or desktop device 

How payments work 

SmartLess Mobile uses Auto Renewal for all accounts. This means your monthly invoice is created and paid automatically on your billing date. You’ll receive a notification when your invoice is ready and another when the payment is processed. 

To keep your service active, your account must always have a valid payment method on file. 

Accepted payment methods 

We accept:

  • Apple Pay 
  • Google Pay 

  • Visa credit card 

  • Visa Debit card  

  • MasterCard credit card  

  • MasterCard Debit card 

  • American Express credit card 

  • Discover credit card 

 

Not supported:

  • Prepaid debit or credit cards 

  • PayPal 

  • ACH transfers 

  • Cards issued outside the U.S. 

  • SSI/SSI Direct Express Debit Card (Supplemental Security Income is not the same as Social Security) 

  • SNAP/EBT  

  • WIC EBT  

  • TANF EBT 

  • State specific or cash assistance or unemployment benefit cards  

  • Health program cards provided by some Medicare or Medicaid plans 


Updating your payment method 

Only an Admin on the account can update the payment method in MyAccount or the SmartLess Mobile app. The SmartLess Mobile team isn’t able to make changes to payment information on your behalf. 

In the SmartLess Mobile app

  1. Open the SmartLess Mobile app 

  1. Enter your account email and password to log in 

  1. Complete the verification step 

  1. Tap More in the bottom menu 

  1. Select Billing & payment 

  1. Tap Edit payment method 

  1. Enter your new card details 

  1. Tap Save changes 

 

In MyAccount

  1. Go to MyAccount in your browser 

  1. Enter your account email and password to log in 

  1. Complete the verification process 

  1. On the dashboard, choose Billing & payment information 

  1. Select Edit payment method 

  1. Enter your new payment details 

  1. Select Save changes 

Once saved, your new payment method will automatically be used for your next billing date. 


Updating Google Pay or Apple Pay 

If you use Apple Pay or Google Pay, make sure the billing address and ZIP code in your wallet match what your bank has on file. If they don’t match, your payment may fail. 

Apple Pay

  1. Open the Wallet app. 

  1. Tap the card you want to update. 

  1. Tap the More (•••) button. 

  1. Tap Card Details

  2. Tap Billing Address

  3. Update your address and ZIP code. 

 

Google Pay

  1. Go to Google Payments and sign in. 

  1. Select the card to update. 

  1. Click Edit

  1. Update your billing address and ZIP code. 


Missed a payment?  

If a payment doesn’t go through right away, don’t worry — there’s time to update your information. 

Days 1–3: Your account is in a grace period, and your service stays active while you update your payment method. 

Day 4: If payment hasn’t gone through, your account becomes suspended. You can still log in, update your payment method, and make a payment. 

After Payment: Once your payment succeeds, your service resumes automatically and your billing date resets to the date that your payment goes through. 

Example: If your bill was due May 1 and you make a payment on May 5, your new billing date becomes the 5th of every month going forward.  

No alternate arrangements 

SmartLess Mobile does not offer payment extensions or manual payment arrangements. All service costs are due on your billing date to keep your plan active.
