What happens if I use all my data?

If you’re usually connected to WiFi — at home, work, or school — you’re probably using less cellular data than you think. And if you do use up all your high-speed data for the month, no worries — you won’t be charged extra. Your data speed will simply slow down (this is called throttling) until your next billing cycle. You’ll still be able to browse, message, and use apps — it might just feel a bit slower than usual.

How to check your data usage

Want to know how much data you really use? 

  1. Open the SmartLess Mobile app or log into MyAccount

  2. On the Dashboard you'll see your data, talk, and text usage

  3. If you have multiple lines, use the dropdown to select the right one

How do I add more data?

Whether you’re traveling or just away from WiFi more than usual, you can add more data anytime. Just open the SmartLess Mobile app or log into MyAccount online, then: 

  1. Go to the Add-ons section 

  2. Pick what works for you 

  3. Confirm your choice

If I keep running out, can I upgrade my plan?

Yes! You can upgrade your plan anytime. Just a heads-up: your new plan starts at the beginning of your next billing cycle. 

If you need more data right away, a one-time pass is a great way to hold you over until your plan renews.
