Caller ID, Call Fowarding, and Call Waiting
Caller ID
Caller ID shows you what number is calling you and, when available, their name. That way, you know who’s on the other line before you answer the call.
Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding allows you to forward calls to another number, such as voicemail or another phone number.
Call Forwarding options can be found in your device’s settings, often in the phone or dialer app. Many phones allow you to set conditions for when you want calls forwarded, like if you don’t answer the call, or if your phone is off and you’re not reachable.
There are some limitations:

You can only setup Call Forwarding to 10-digit or 11-digit numbers.

Forwarding to international numbers is not supported

When you’re roaming, Call Forwarding may not be available – some roaming partner carriers may not support it
If you’ve changed your Call Forwarding settings but want your unanswered or missed calls to go back to Voicemail, you’ll need to ensure your Call Forwarding is set to forward those calls to the Voicemail deposit number 1-805-637-7243 (fun fact: that spells 1-805-MESSAGE). You can also reset all of your Call Forwarding settings by dialing ##004#.
Call Waiting
Call Waiting notifies you of an incoming call while you are already on another call, giving you the option to answer or ignore the new call.
