Carrier info for transferring your number (A-Z list)

Keeping your number should be simple. We’ve put together a list of carriers and their porting requirements — the information you’ll need to transfer (port) your number to SmartLess Mobile.

Important: We do our best to keep this list updated, but carrier porting requirements can change at any time. If your current carrier isn’t listed or if you’re unsure about the information, we recommend reaching out to them directly.  

How to transfer your number by carrier (A-Z list)

A

AirVoice
  • Account number: 20-digit AirVoice SIM Card Number 

  • PIN: Default is the last four digits of your phone number 

  • Contact: 888-944-2355 

AT&T 

Postpaid:

  • Account number: 9- or 12-digit number from your bill or myAT&T Profile. 

  • PIN: Dial *7678 from your AT&T phone. Enter your passcode when prompted. You’ll receive a temporary 4-digit Number Transfer PIN valid for 4 days after you request it. 

  •  Contact: 800-331-0500 

Prepaid:

  • Account number: Call 1-800-901-9878 or 611 from your AT&T phone. 

  • PIN: Use the last 4 digits of your phone number as the transfer PIN. If this does not work, reach out to AT&T for assistance. 

Additional information:

  • Be sure to not disconnect your AT&T service before requesting your Number Transfer PIN or you’ll have to reactivate your phone number with AT&T. 

  • If you have Wireless Account Lock turned on, you won’t be able to transfer your number until you turn this off. 

After you submit your number transfer request:

AT&T will send you an SMS with a verification code. You will have to reply to the SMS with the code to authorize the transfer. 

Once you receive confirmation that the transfer is approved, you will need to update your transfer in MyAccount.

  • Account number / PIN: Log into Google Fi > Manage plan > Leave Google Fi

Google Voice

  • Account number: 10-digit phone number (must unlock number) 

  • PIN: Same as Voicemail PIN 

  • Additional info: Unlocking your Google Voice number costs $3 USD. However, if your number was originally ported from another carrier, there’s no charge

Go Smart Mobile

  • Account number: 10-digit GoSmart Mobile number 

  • PIN: Same as customer service PIN

  • PIN: The last 4 digits of your SIM’s ICCID, which can usually be found printed on the back of the SIM card, or you can find it in your phone settings under 'About Phone.'

  • Account number: Log into your Hello Mobile online account, and you’ll find it in the upper right-hand corner. 

  • PIN: Last 4 digits of phone number

  • Account number: After logging into your Spectrum Mobile online account, go to the “Billing” tab, then “Billing Details,” and select “View Statements.” Open a statement to see your account number at the top. 

  • PIN: While logged into your Spectrum account, select “Services,” then select “Mobile.” Choose the line you want to transfer out, scroll down, and select “Transfer PIN.”

Sprint

Postpaid 

  • Account Number: On the top right side of the My Account page, the account number is displayed below the account nickname. 

  • PIN: Log into online Sprint account, go to “Profile & Settings.”  

  • Contact: 1-800-937-8997. 

Prepaid: 

  • Account Number: You can find it at the top-center of your Sprint Prepaid bill or in your Sprint Prepaid online account.  

  • PIN: 1-800-937-8997.

Straight Talk 

  • Account number: MEID/IMEI or last 15 digits of BYOP SIM Card

  • Account number: Located at the top center of the welcome screen in your online T-Mobile account or on your bill. 

  • PIN: Request a temporary transfer PIN in your T-Mobile account or app. 

  • In the app: Go to Account > Profile Settings > Line Settings > Request a transfer PIN. 

  • On T-Mobile.com: Select My Account > Profile > Line Settings > Request a transfer PIN > Get a transfer PIN.

  • Account number: It’s your phone’s IMEI. You can find it on the settings menu of your phone or by dialing *#06#

    • If you bought your phone from Tracfone, it is your phone’s IMEI or MEID number. 

    • If you brought your own device (BYOD), it is the last 15 digits of your SIM card number.

    Find your account number in My Verizon under Account or on your bill. 

  • PIN: In My Verizon (app or browser), go to My Profile > Number Transfer PIN > Generate PIN. Or dial #PORT (#7678) from your Verizon phone.

Prepaid  

  • Account number: Verizon Prepaid account number is found on the account bill. 

  • PIN: 6-digit requested PIN. Access My Verizon, go to the Number Transfer PIN page and Select Generate PIN. 
    Or dial #PORT (#7678) from your Verizon phone. 

Visible
  • Account number / PIN: App or online account 
Vonage
  • Account number: You can provide your Vonage API account number 

  • PIN: It’s the number used to verify your account with Vonage.
