Getting started with SmartLess Mobile
Whether you're shopping for a new mobile plan, switching carriers, or have already placed an order — this guide will walk you through everything from picking a plan to activating your service.
Service must be activated while physically in the U.S. If you're in Canada, Mexico, or another country, activation won’t work until you return to the U.S.
What you’ll need

A compatible, unlocked smartphone

WiFi or mobile data connection

A valid payment method
Step 1: Choose your plan
Add a plan to your cart or grab extras for family and friends. Visit smartlessmobile.com or open the SmartLess Mobile app to explore available plans.
Step 2: Check your device compatibility
Before checkout, you’ll be prompted to confirm that your phone works with SmartLess Mobile and will give you the best experience on our network:

Enter your device brand and model in the Check compatibility tool.

Make sure your phone is unlocked — activation won’t complete otherwise.

If your device supports eSIM, you can activate instantly after checkout.
Step 3: Choose your SIM type
You have two options:

eSIM: Fastest setup, no shipping. Most newer phones support it, and some only have eSIM!

Physical SIM: Free shipping if your phone isn’t eSIM-capable.

Step 4: Place your order
After choosing your plan, confirming device compatibility, and picking your SIM type:

Review your cart.

Create your SmartLess Mobile login.
You’ll get a confirmation email with everything you need to activate once your eSIM is ready, or your SIM is on its way.
Step 5: Download the SmartLess Mobile app
The app lets you:

Activate your plan
-
View usage and billing
-
Manage add-ons and passes
-
Upgrade your plan
Click the App Store or Google Play button below to download the app.
On a computer? Go to MyAccount.
Step 6: Activate your service
Once your SIM or eSIM is ready:

Log in to the SmartLess Mobile app or MyAccount.

Follow the prompts — we’ll guide you based on your SIM type.

Step 7: Bring your number (or get a new one)
To transfer your number to SmartLess Mobile, you’ll need:

Phone number: Must still be active
-
Number transfer PIN: Sometimes called a “port-out PIN” (usually different from your account PIN)

Account number: Found on your bill or online account
-
Address details: The one linked to your current account

Step 8: Start using your service
Once activation is complete:

Restart your device

Make a test call or browse the web to confirm your connection

Manage your plan, data, and add-ons anytime via MyAccount or the SmartLess Mobile app
