What to do after your number transfer is complete
Great news! Your number has successfully transferred to SmartLess Mobile. You’re just a few steps away from using your service. Follow the steps below based on whether you purchased an eSIM or a physical SIM kit.
Step 1: Remove your old SIM
Now that your number has moved to SmartLess Mobile, your old carrier’s SIM is no longer needed.
If your old SIM was a physical SIM card

Power off your device

Locate the SIM card tray on your phone

Use a SIM ejector tool or paperclip to open the tray

Remove the old SIM card
If your old SIM was an eSIM
Delete the old eSIM from your device settings.
Using iPhone

Open Settings
-
Tap Cellular
-
Under SIMs, select your old carrier

Tap Erase eSIM
Using Android
-
Open Settings
-
Tap Network & Internet (or Connections)

Tap SIMs
-
Select your old carrier
-
Tap Erase eSIM

Step 2: Complete your SmartLess Mobile activation
Your next steps depend on whether you’re using an eSIM or a physical SIM card.
If you ordered a SmartLess Mobile eSIM

Go to MyAccount in your browser or Open the SmartLess Mobile app

Enter your account email and password to log in

Complete the verification step
-
Look for the activation notification on the dashboard

Select Install eSIM and follow the prompts to complete setup

Once installation is complete, your SmartLess Mobile service will be ready to use.

If you ordered a SmartLess Mobile SIM card
If you haven’t already inserted your new SIM card, do so now

Power off your device

Locate the SIM card tray on your phone

Use a SIM ejector tool or paperclip to open the tray

Place your SmartLess Mobile SIM card it in the tray with the gold contacts facing down.

Reinsert the tray
-
Power your device back on

Step 3: Enable 5G and roaming
Important: To get the best coverage and performance, make sure 5G and roaming are enabled on your device.
Enable 5G
Using iPhone (iPhone 12 or newer – iPhone 11 and older do not support 5G)

Tap Cellular
-
Select your SmartLess Mobile line

Tap Cellular Data Options

Tap Voice & Data
-
Choose 5G Auto (recommended) or 5G On

Check for the 5G icon in your status bar
Using Android

Open Settings
-
Tap Network & Internet (or Connections)> SIMs

Select your SmartLess Mobile line

Tap Preferred Network Type

Select 5G
-
Check for the 5G icon in your status bar
