Visual Voicemail

Visual Voicemail makes it easy to manage your messages directly from your phone. You can see who called, read message transcriptions, and listen to messages without dialing into voicemail. 

With Visual Voicemail, you can: 

  • Listen to messages in any order 

  • Read message transcriptions 

  • See who called and when 

  • Save, forward, or delete messages with a tap 

Note: Visual Voicemail downloads messages to your phone, so a data connection is required.

Use Visual Voicemail on iPhone 

iPhones support Visual Voicemail in the built-in Phone app. 

Once you’ve set up your voicemail PIN, your Visual Voicemail messages will appear in the Voicemail tab. From there, you can: 

  • Listen to messages 

  • Read available transcriptions 

  • Share messages 

  • Delete messages 

No additional app is required. 

Use Visual Voicemail on Android 

On Android devices, Visual Voicemail is available through the My Visual Voicemail app. You can download the app from Google Play:

With the app, you can: 

  • Listen to your Voicemail messages

  • Change your Voicemail PIN and greetings 

  • Manage your mailbox 

Ensure it’s updated to the latest version. Using third-party voicemail apps may interfere with Visual Voicemail delivery. 

Activate Visual Voicemail on Android 

To use this app, your mobile device must be connected to the SmartLess Mobile network, and WiFi must be toggled off during activation. Once activated, you can use the Visual Voicemail app over WiFi or your cellular network. 

Clear My Visual Voicemail app data (Android) 

If messages aren’t syncing or loading: 

  1. Go to Settings 

  1. Select Apps 

  1. Tap My Visual Voicemail 

  1. Select Storage 

  1. Clear Cache and Data 

Important: Clearing data removes messages over one month old and any messages saved only in the Visual Voicemail app. To save or email messages before clearing data, follow the instructions in the My Visual Voicemail app. 

Things to know 

  • The “Upgrade to Premium” option in the My Visual Voicemail app is not available for SmartLess Mobile customers 

  • Keep the My Visual Voicemail app updated to the latest version to ensure proper functionality
